Mandalas

I started drawing these mandalas as a meditation practice years ago. What I found was that while the therapeutic aspect of pattern drawing was real, the true effect of drawing these was a reminder that age shouldn’t be a barrier to creativity. My hope is that this art inspires everyone, regardless of their age, to create more and to be less idle.

All of these mandalas are hand drawn making them all uniquely symmetrical and flawed in their own way. If you’re looking for a deeper meaning that’s a good place to start. I leave it up to you to draw the parallels…but I’ve found that the beauty in many things can be found in their imperfections.

Really though, I love drawing these and playing with colors, metallics, and neons to add a little visual intrigue. If they get your creative juices flowing and give you a certain feeling, amazing!
